Why not? Odds're good that whatever happened that brought us here, th'potential for it t'happen has existed before - th'scientists here are no help, but if there's been any past incidents, then there might be somethin' older that'd say somethin'...an' if none of us know about it yet, then it's probably off in some weird corner of the wilderness where it's a pain in th'ass t'get to. And even if there isn't somethin' like that there, there's still no tellin' what could be around that people just haven't tripped over yet.
